Well, both withdrawals are serious, and severe.However....heroin is the most severe, and dangerous! The symptoms of both are the same/ similar, but heroin again has the most severe symptoms(withdrawal).Such as....nausea,vomiting,muscle pain, cramping, twitching of the muscles, seizures, depression, psychosis, anxiety, panic attacks, hallucinations, etc. You can search online for more withdrawal symptoms if you wish. Like I mentioned earlier...both heroin and methadone have similar withdrawal symptoms, but heroin withdrawal symptoms are more severe and intense, and can be dangerous....even deadly for some. Take care!

Heroin and methadone withdrawals are quite similar. The major difference is that methadone withdrawals last a lot longer than heroin withdrawals. Getting through heroin sickness usually takes between 3 and 7 days depending on the individual. It can take another week or so to be back to 100% but the worst sickness should be over in a week. With methadone the most intense symptoms can last several weeks and it can take months to get 100%. Heroin withdrawals tend to be more intense and severe but it varies a lot from person to person. The symptoms from both drugs are runny eyes and nose, yawning, vomiting and nausea, diarrhea, chills, creepy crawly feelings, extreme fatigue, insomnia, anxiety, pain in legs and arms, stomach cramps, sweating, etc. It's basically like the worst flu ever times 20. Heroin and methadone withdrawal is rarely deadly in healthy people but it does happen. It's very, very rare though. Because methadone withdrawal lasts for so long it is never recommended to get off methadone cold turkey. One can get off methadone without any uncomfortable symptoms if you taper slowly. It can take several months to taper off methadone if you do it right but it's worth it,
