You are getting what is referred to as an administrative detox. It is not intended to support your sobriety or methadone program recovery; it is a punitive action taken by MMT clinics when a client fails drug tests, misses appts., or doesn’t pay their bill. Administrative detoxes are typically done at a rate of 10mg per day- an incredibly hard way to detox, but not life threatening, so unfortunately, allowable. Without more info, I can’t advise much- this is a link to my website: facebook.com/ group.php?gid= 106559159942 &v= app_2373072738 &ref= ts#!/ group.php?gid= 106559159942 and in particular, to an article I wrote about proper methadone detox practices: facebook.com/ group.php?gid= 106559159942 &v= app_2373072738#!/ topic.php?uid= 106559159942 &topic= 15212 Read the article on detoxing- and from there, If you would like to email me, I can try to help you locate some funding in your region, or get you in touch with some regional centers that deal with low income/ indigent patients- if there are none in county, there are usually a few out of county who will take in people. We can see if there is another MMT clinic that has a sliding scale or funding that can take you on, or a detox facility that will help ease the transition, if you want to get off. You can email me at SparrowSleepingFox@yahoo.com, or through the website above (I’m the administrator). |
