Methadone For Pain: Methadone Detox Clinics

Question: Taking methadone for pain and ambien for sleep caused me to sleep for 12 hours straight?

I took 10mg of methodone like doctor said for my pain cause no other medication has worked then I took my ambien 10mg for my sleep problem. I told my pain specialist what other meds I was taking cause before entry to this clinic you must bring all the other medications you take or doctor would not see you. Is this safe or should I go to my PCP and find alternative pain care?

I wouldn't mix the 2, ambien will put you out for 8 hours, maybe more, check with pcp if its okay to take together.

Remember with all medication, it takes at least a week to stabilize and lose the dopey feeling.

Depends upon what you are having pain with, for some muscles that are pinched, which is causing most pains we have, can be freed up to get rid of the pains and then one wouldn't need the pills or worrying about seeing a dr. for them or paying for something you can take care of yourself.

Try melatonin and/ or ibuprofen PM I take two each and they put me to sleep and I stay asleep. It helps me get better sleep, I've gone from 15 hours a night to 12 or 13. I have a brain disease that makes me sleep a lot but its also hard for me to fall asleep.

This combination and dosage is safe if properly prescribed by your doctor. Any other drugs (including alcohol) on top of it would definitely be dangerous though.
