way to taper off the oxycodone to methadone. Ive done it before and 9 10mg pills three times a day worked fine can I just switch from one to another.

Taking methadone for pain and ambien for sleep caused me to sleep for 12 hours straight?
I took 10mg of methodone like doctor said for my pain cause no other medication has worked then I took my ambien 10mg for my sleep problem. I told my pain specialist what other meds I was taking cause before entry to this clinic you must bring all the other medications you take or doctor would not see you. Is this safe or should I go to my PCP and find alternative pain care?

issues? I have not had a period and am lactating ever since I started on methadone. There is absolutely no way that I am pregnant. And the lactating is what really has me confused, my youngest child is 23 and I never breast fed. my boyfriend has been on methadone for 7 days now and I have noticed he has been twitching alot. His whole body. Even when he is laying down I can see the twitching. Is this common? Or do you think it may be a problem that the pain killers and xanex he was taking were masking?

and i have not been feeling Well all weekend this am after i took my drink 115 ml I got sick. this has happened once before and I almost died that night from withdraw.I have called the clinic and they can not help me because they didn't see me get sick. Im handling pain right now with advil but i dint want to go through w d. I go tomorrow to pick up a new week of drinks and to do a pee test. Can I take something tonite narcotic and how do I avoid a " dirty" sample. This is not what I want to do but I dont want to suffer in any way.Is there by chance any other medication or product that will speed up the methadone in my body and maybe that is why i get withdraws quicker them I should be? I do take modafinil for tiredness and sleep shift disorder.

OK so my sister is on Methadone for chronic back pain. I last saw her a little over 10 years ago and she looked great. I saw her today, she has bad skin, bad teeth, she's fat, and she's not over 40, or maybe a few years older. She looks old, premature aging at it's finest. Can this crap cause this? I don't know what dosage she is on, I just know she looks like hell and I was scared for her and shocked at the same time that my sister looks like this now. I know methadone can lead to bad teeth cause of the saliva thing, and doesn't let nutrients into your gut, but really? She looks OLD. So old.. please help, not with opinions but experience. I am the baby of the family and I don't want to lose my second oldest sister because of a damned pill. She's never done any drug except pot as far as I know, and I keep in touch with her. The rest of us don't age that fast... HELP please gimme some experiences or something.

I am crently taking Oxycontin and oxycodone , and I was wondering if Methedone Is better for me. And as addictive. I want to have something that isn't as addictive and actually works for my Pain. I have A really Bad desease and I hurt 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. Someone please eslane to me what Methadone is , and is it safe or do you recomend it as a pain Killer. My Desease is really Bad and is concidered to be as painfull as chrones and cancer pain , so im very uncomfterble all the time.I just want to feel better and live my Life the same as I did before the illness came about. Or If you have any other sugestions that might help me with pain. It dosen't have to be A Nocodic , but Im sorry I have tried just about every thing over the counter and it dosen't work. And also what about the patch , dose that work also. I think it is Called the Fentanol Patch. If You take either of these or know someone who dose please help me to know some more about them.Thanks Again

Methadone for pain relief....?
I take methadone for pain, I've been on it for over five years now. I take 70 mgs a day, plus 120 mgs of morphine for breakthrough pain. What are the long term effects of taking these drugs? And if I'm not getting the relief I used to get, should I ask my doctor to " UP" my dose or should I look for another pain medication?I've also seen a pain specialist and went to a pain clinic for almost two years. After my third surgery and still in pain there wasn't much more they could do. Even Physical Therapy wasn't giving me any relief. I am at maximum medical benefit, the pain is Chronic.
